A FAIRYTALE WEDDING IN MONACO
Two of our distinguished Goodwill Ambassadors Mansoor Ijaz and Valerie Martin were
married in a magical wedding ceremony that took place in Monaco on July 7th 2007.
Over 200 guests, from some 30 countries attended the ceremony and celebrations, including
many public figures.
Guests were entertained by a memorable fireworks display, a pre-dinner cocktail hour
on board an ocean going boat, North African belly dancers and live performances by
Children of Peace Goodwill Ambassador - the international singer Liel Kolet and jazz
legend Herbie Hancock. Generous as ever, Mansoor and Valerie requested that their
guests might wish to donate to one or more the wedding couple’s favourite charities
– including Children of Peace – rather than give wedding gifts.
Valerie and Mansoor are a remarkable couple and Children of Peace is proud to have
such proactive and supportive Goodwill Ambassadors working to help the children.
We all wish them every happiness in the years ahead.
