PEACE OIL
Peace Oil has just joined Children of Peace as a Preferred Partner and we highly
recommend this wonderful initiative. The oil is produced in Israel by Jews, Arabs,
Druze and Bedouin working together. Grown in the foothills of the Carmel Mountains,
the olives are pressed within hours of picking, to produce this prize winning extra
virgin olive oil. Peace Oil is now offered in three varieties: original, certified
Organic and Peace Oil for Cooking.
An initiative of registered UK charity The Charities Advisory Trust, Peace Oil encourages
co-operation between communities. By helping to market their produce it hopes to
bring economic prosperity to such enterprises, encouraging others to follow their
example.
The idea of peaceful co-operation is spreading and the project can now offer delicious
Peace Oil for Cooking, a mix of oil from Palestinian growers in the West Bank and
oil produced in Israel by Jews, Arabs, Bedouin and Druze working together. Profits
from Peace Oil are used to support peace and reconciliation work in the Middle East.
