THE ONEVOICE INTERNATIONAL
AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

On the 29th May OneVoice Palestine held an incredibly inspiring and deeply moving
festival for over 700 Palestinian children and their families living in Salfeet.
Children aged 6 and over organised the event together with their families where they
sang for peace, for ending occupation, for their right to live as any other children
in the world; they sang for non-violent life where wars do not exist and where respect,
unity, stability and safety are enjoyed by every one.
Nisreen Shaheen, mother of two and Executive Director of OneVoice Palestine, said:
"As a Palestinian mother who works for OneVoice, this is how every Palestinian woman
wants to see her children not as suicide bombers but agents for change, children
who are global in their thoughts and feelings, this is part of my mission as a mother
to tell the world that if the Palestinian children have the chance to live a different
reality they will be agents for peace, stability, democracy, development not only
for their country but also for the world"
On October 18th OneVoice's Israeli and Palestinian teams will be out on the streets
in Jericho Stadium in Palestine and Haryakon Park in Israel in an effort to reinvigorate
the peace process from the grassroots.
We hope everyone in the UK that cares about the plight of Israeli and Palestinian
people will support our teams as they go to the streets in October this year to issue
this positive message of life as opposed to death and push their governments to work
to find a way out of the situation and support them as they do so .
