STARS ATTEND FIRST LONDON EVENT Nov 2007

Members of Parliament, stars of stage and screen, leading journalists, Trustees,
Friends and supporters of Children of Peace attended a sell-out charity performance
of Iain Hollingshead and Timothy Mullers' acclaimed musical satire: "Blair on Broadway"at
the Arts Theatre, near Leicester Square in London on November 18th 2007. Iain and
Tim generously donated a percentage of the takings to Children of Peace.
The show which featured a hilarious one-off cameo by journalist Matthew Parris, following
a short speech by Chairman and Founder Richard Martin. During the Interval, professional
auctioneer Peter Hill presided over a successful auction of two beautiful donated
gold rings and a meal for two at The Wallace Restaurant, donated by top restaurateur
Matthew Peyton.
Both the show and the auction have helped to increase awareness of the charity's
unique conflict resolution programme in the Middle East and to raise funds for our
projects in Israel and Palestine. Sir Derek described the show as: "An unmissable
evening in the theatre - funny, provocative, scintillatingly performed by a vigorous,
young, talented company."
